Yellow-footed Gulls are a common to abundant post-breeding visitor
to the Salton Sea.  They breed in the Gulf of California, and
then in the mid summer wander to hang out at the sea for several
months.  A handful of individuals usually spend the winter
there, too.  Look for them along the coastline of the Salton Sea,
especially at Obsidian Butte and at the delta of the New River.
