Costa's Hummingbirds are common to the deserts of the extreme
southwest. They are early breeders, and you can hear their
high-pitched calls and see their flight displays beginning in the
winter months in Yuma. Listen and look for them in January
around flowering trees and flowers in Yuma neighborhoods.
